Cool War Games

Its only Cool when its a video game... otherwise make love not war!

One of the coolest war games on the market today is called Call of Duty. Its a first person shooter which is designed to simulate the soldiers and warfare found in the WWII. Its actually based on the engine used to build Quake 3. It came out first in 2004, and soon became a hit. The theme is similar to that medal of honor game.

As you go through the war game, you are joined by allies, everything from infantry to full out tanks. The AI of the computers is really good and makes this cool game very realistic. Sometimes people wonder If games like this desensitize the children to the concept of going to war. Its a good question and the debate will always continue, because there is no clear answer. One things for sure, personal responsibility is crucial, because the gaming industry isn't going anywhere!

You'll find war games in other mediums as well. There was a 1983 movie released which is a really cool watch. They are military simulations in which different military strategy is tested and practiced without actually killing anybody. I guess you could say its better then real war, but isn't it sad that we as a civilization practice this stuff?
