Cool Pong Game

Notice how every game I've featured is literally back from the 1970s and 80s? You could say I'm old school, and yes I do miss going to the arcade as a young boy, and spending all my parents quarters. Anyways this one was released even before the entertaining space invaders game. Can you believe that fact? 1972 was the year, over 35 full years ago, which is crazy. Its a mix between table tennis and squash, and Atari manufactured it.

The cool thing is, the creator was actually just doing a training practice given to him by his boss. Make this game for practice they said. Little did they know, it would become a global success. The gameplay is very simple, you simply try to get the ball past your opponent, which can be the computer or your friend playing. It has an addictive quality.



It was truly the 1st commercial hit for the gaming market. Many sequels were pumped out, to make sure the money kept rolling in. Atari sure has released a lot of cool games haven't they?
